The wind howled softly through the falling precipitation of the Earth, the shudders of leaves making it seem almost as though they were trying to speak with the wind as it rose and fell…his optics dimmed as he brought his legs a bit closer to his chest plating, knowing this would be the last time he'd wake to hear the chirping of birds outside his room. Knew that he would step outside…and not hear the sounds of the bustling city, not bring his hand up to shield his optics from the sun's rays…not turn and smile as she came up to him with her bright smile, pig-tails bouncing softly with each step.

His spark ached.

It all happened so fast – everything rather spun out of control. And he found himself not believing that…that Prowl was gone, that Megatron was captured, the Decepticons defeated finally…or for now anyway. He couldn't believe that they were going home, but now…it didn't feel like they were returning to a home, but to a memory he had forgotten.

These walls were his home, this warehouse was their home. This planet, even with all of its oddities, felt like his home now. He loved the culture; he loved the lights and all of the humans' odd little quirks.

Though there was one human in particular that he had always adored…

The yellow mech shifted, shivering faintly as the wind changed directions and he was showered by the cold rain for a moment even under the lip of the roof. If he brought a hand to his chest plates, he could still feel the sealed area where…he drooped.

How to collect his thoughts? It was difficult, there was so much going through his processor…he knew Sari was coming with them to Cybertron – it wouldn't be right to not take her. She was practically one of them now, she had definitely proved that over the last weeks and she had fought alongside them…but he wondered if she was happy. It may have been his own selfishness pushing through, but he missed Sari. No, he wasn't not happy with her…change, but it seemed too quick. She had been a child, a happy kid – their kid.

They had shared a lot of happy times together and a lot of adventures. She would sit in his seat and eat her burgers that always smelled odd, always laugh and chat with him or complain about something that was bothering her – it didn't mattered, he liked hearing her speak. Liked watching her facial expressions and wild hand-gestures, liked watching her entire person brighten when he complimented or comforted her…he liked being able to hold her in his hand and hold her close, to gently wipe away her tears when she'd cry.

She used to cry a lot after her father had gone missing and that jerk Powell had taken over her company.

Though at first it confused him, he came to see it was her way of showing she wasn't happy, her way of showing she was hurting inside. The tears faded after a while though and Sari became part of their family, living with them, teaching them more about the planet they were guests on and he became quite used to having her around.

When the changes first started to happen, he hadn't been around really to witness them – and he regretted that. Though it wasn't his fault! He didn't mean to be eaten by a giant space rock! He had been warped without warning…

The mech pouted.

What would have happened if he hadn't been warped? If he hadn't been munched by that stupid rock monster…would he have been able to help her? To be there for her during her first changes? Though she had been the one to rescue him from that rock's gut – had broken him free and he at first was shocked. This small femme was Sari – but she didn't resemble the little girl he had held dear to him. She had grown up and far too quickly for his liking…in a moment she had leapt from a child to a teenager of her species and became even further organic and Cybertronian – or had she always been both? It was just now showing evidently…

She had lost control.

The fear that had struck him to see her lashing about, her energy levels rising so dangerously had really made him worry – but he could stop her! She cared about him and would never hurt him, he could do what the others were failing in doing and get her to calm down, get her to…well, do something!

…he had been wrong.

He hadn't expected it, hadn't ever thought of such a thing occurring. She has lashed out…and her blade struck right through his chest plating. It had hurt more than anything he had ever experienced, the energy blaring up through his circuits and his spark quivered and flickered – her face was filled with fear, remorse and such sadness…

Everything rather blurred after that. He remembered the explosion of energy after being stabbed, remembered crashing back across the pavement…but everything rather blacked out after that.

Had she told him to stay back?

He couldn't remember. All he remembered was her expression when it had happened…

And after that, well, nothing had really been the same. She didn't need him around all the time anymore, she could protect herself, could fight…and it seemed like it was so long ago that she was hugging his door and begging him to take her with him when they first met. Practically squeeing in his front seat as he agreed.

Thunder rumbled through the sky, making the mech look up sadly.

They hadn't been close after her change. Had spoken to each other now and then, had smiled at each other, but things had changed and permanently. He couldn't hold her close now without her sighing, telling him she was fine…she wouldn't ride around with him anymore just for fun and to grab fast-food. And he never would be able to wipe her tears away as she cried, her soft brown eyes red from crying and her soft voice telling him all of her worries and fears.

No, the blue eyes she now bore didn't give tears…none that he would ever see anyway.

"Bumblebee."

Pausing, he turned and looked to see Optimus, the mech's wings rather reflecting oddly in the light, his recent repairs quite obvious and the mech looked exhausted both mentally and physical. Though his optics still shone proudly and he gave the yellow mech a soft, sad smile.

"Its time to leave…Prowl's funeral will be held on Cybertron."

Right…time to leave.

Shifting, he carefully pushed himself to his feet. There was a lot that needed done and he was wondering if had the energy for it all. Glancing out at the rain and organic life, he shivered, feeling sadness well in his spark.

"…right boss-bot." Bumblebee replied quietly, trying to give one of his trade-marks smiles to the fire-truck and Optimus turned after gesturing softly, the younger mech following after him.

It was time to leave their lives on Earth.
EDIT: This takes place after Prowl dies and the last battle on Earth, right before they all go back to Cybertron. I would say spoiler warning, but if you haven't watched that episode by now then you aren't a true TFA fan, lol.

Wow, its been ages since I've submitted a fanfic...and I'm not even sure if this is good. >>

I personally was inspired quite randomly after watching a BumblebeexSari music video that had the scene in the season premier where she stabbed Bumblebee after her transformation and she was out of control.

And it showed some scenes in the episodes after...

Did anyone else notice how Bumblebee and Sari just seemed to split apart?

They were great friends and were ALWAYS together in the previous seasons - hell, was there a scene were they weren't together?

It bothered me that after Sari changed...well, her and Bumblebee really didn't exchange any dialogue, let alone be near eachother for very long. I wished they would've done more with TFA and that the fourth season would have aired, I really do, lol.

But...yeah, sorry if this fic is slag - I'm not sure if it even makes sense, I just kinda typed what was going through my head so it probably sounds more like a confusing rant than a fanfic. Give me a break, I haven't written anything like this in AGES. It'll probably go in scraps later on.

I support BumblebeexSari as a friendship, not really romantic, lol.
