Red Alert glared as a screen went blank. He turned in the chair to get a direct view of said screen, raising an optic ridge before he started typing away at the panel in front of him. Camera #56 was done and he gave a sigh. Of course, the camera at the very edge of the perimeter would go out. It would at least thirty Earth minutes to drive down there and that was if he was at top speed.

The thought to just leave it came through his processor and he stood, disgusted that he had just thought that.

“Primus, I must be getting older…” he mumbled, activating his comm. link to contact Prowl.

((Yes Red Alert.)) came the calm voice.

“Prowl, camera #56 has gone out again. I’m going out to repair it.”

((Right, I’ll get someone to cover your shift while you’re gone.))

Red Alert gave a slight nod as he left the monitor room, optics still narrowed as he walked down the hall. He passed by Jazz, who gave him a bright smile and nod before heading along. Red could only guess that Jazz was taking his place at the monitors and he put a little more speed in his step.

Not that he didn’t trust Jazz…but the saboteur had a knack of his CDs ‘magically’ appearing in the control panel slots and those CDs would ‘accidentally’ activate once he powered on the sound system to the screens.

When he stepped outside a slight chill caught him by surprise. No wonder why everyone was inside – it was miserable out here. Dark clouds blocked out the sun and churned angrily in the usually blue sky while the wind would pick up and die off at random, blowing about anything that was light enough to be carried. He entered the coordinates to the camera and transformed.

The sand being kicked up by the wind annoyed him, but he completely blocked out the howling weather as he focused on getting to the camera. The faster he got there and repaired it, the faster he could get back to the base. He gave a shout as he was blown to the side, forcing him out of his thoughts and back to the current situation as he pressed back against the wind.

It seemed to take hours, though he knew it had only been forty Earth minutes tops. He transformed, grinding his denta against the wind that continued to whip and roar around him as he scanned the area for the camera.

“Frag…where is it?!” he muttered, standing a little awkwardly against the ever present wind. He sheltered his optics from the wind, stumbling back a bit despite his attempts to remain standing.

Aw, there it was. Red Alert staggered forward, grabbing one of many massive rocks that littered this area. He had set the camera here in hopes that it would be protected by the rocks, which is why it confused him that it had suddenly gone offline. It was sitting on the ground beside its post, sparks lining the small device and the lens cracked. Slag, he would have to get Wheeljack to completely rebuild this one – it was trashed. As the Lamborghini kneeled down beside the rock, picking up the broken camera gently and looking it over.

What could’ve possibly done this? There was no way the wind could’ve done this much damage. Suddenly his more paranoid side kicked in. He was far enough away from the base for help to be unable to…well, help, and he just now realized he still had his audios muted to the howling wind. Red Alert’s optics widened and he quickly stood, activating his audio to full and hearing the all too familiar sound of an engine – a jet engine.

He whipped around and gave a yelp as he came nose to chest plate with a rather large, flying mech, ruby optics gleaming and a sneer crossing the faceplate framed by black.

“S-Starscream!” Red Alert shouted, a shudder rippling through him. He turned to run only to feel a painfully tight grip around his shoulders as he was yanked backwards. His grip on the camera slacked and it fell to the ground as the red and white mech was pulled into a crushing embrace with his back against the seeker’s glass chest.

“Let me go! Let me go!” Red Alert practically shrieked, the horns on his helm sparking faintly as he kicked and squirmed. Starscream smirked, tightening his hold on the smaller mech.

“Aw, that’s no way to greet an old friend…” he hissed near the security officer’s audio.

Red Alert glared, trying to hide his fear. “I would never consider you a friend!” he snapped. His glare was replaced with a pained look as Starscream roughly dug his hand into the seam of his chest and hip, earning a cry from the Autobot.

“Oh, wrong answer. I consider you a friend Red…” Starscream leaned down and licked at the wires in Red Alert’s neck and the mech cringed.

“I’ve seen you in battle quite a few times, but we never had the chance to…see each other. I’ll have to make up for the time we’ve been apart.”

“Get your digits off of me Starscream! I want nothing to do with – AHHH!” his words were lost as Starscream violently yanked at the wires in his hip, the pain feeling slightly pleasurable…

“No! Starscream, stop!” Red Alert screamed. He gave a yelp as he was turned and slammed back against the rocks. Starscream leaned in, there faces mere inches apart as he smiled darkly,

“Or what Red Alert? You should’ve brought back up with you…”

The white mech gave a gasp of dislike as Starscream crushed his lip components against his own, his glossa pressing against the tightly closed lips. Red Alert pulled back with a small cry,

“No! Inferno! Inferno, help me!” he called, distressed as Starscream ran his dark hands up his sides, sending waves of pleasure…Red Alert refused to let himself enjoy this – he absolutely refused.

“Inferno, help me!” Starscream mocked with a sickening grin, pressing himself tightly against the Lamborghini.

“News flash Red, you’re alone and you’re mine.”

Red Alert ignored the seeker, “Inferno! Please Inferno, I need you – mpphhf!”

Starscream had taken full advantage and kissed Red Alert again, his glossa greedily lapping at the inside of the Autobot’s mouth as he deepened the kiss. His body kept Red pinned up against the rock while his hands searched the white and red armor, plunging into seams and gaps to pull and tease the wires he found.

Red Alert powered down his optics, still trying desperately to free himself, to get away from Starscream, but he couldn’t overpower the seeker. His kicks were stopped as Starscream found the sensitive wires in his leg.

The feel of a hand on his crotch plate caused Red Alert to stiffen and his cry was swallowed hungrily by the seeker. He broke the kiss, leaving the mech gasping and trying to cool his body down. Starscream was trying to open Red’s interface port, prying at it and sending jolts of pain through the white mech…

“S-stop!” Red Alert managed to cry out, hitting his fists against the seeker’s chest. Starscream only glared with a smile,

“Oh, but why would I do that Red Alert? I already told you – you’re mine and I’m going to prove that to you right now.”

“No! N-No! Inferno!”

Starscream growled angrily, “Stop saying his name…it’s futile to resist me Red Alert, and I will make you scream out my name.”

“The pit ya will!”

Starscream’s optics widened at the unfamiliar voice. He whipped around – and shouted in shock and pain as a clenched fist slammed into his faceplate, throwing him back onto the ground. Red Alert slid down the wall, crumpling to the ground weakly as he shuddered. A hand on his shoulder made him yelp, but a warm embrace came around him.

“Red, it’s me!”

Red Alert glanced up, relief washing over him as he looked into the loving, blue optics.

“Inferno…Inferno!” he lunged forward, wrapping his arms around the fire engine’s neck and pressing his face into the larger mech’s shoulder.

“I’m here Red, I’m here…”

“Slaggin’ Autobot!” Inferno looked up from the mech in his arms to see Starscream had gotten back up, fuming angrily as he charged his weapons. Inferno stood swiftly, holding the Lamborghini close with one arm as he pulled his own weapon out, optics narrowed to slits and flashing angrily.

“I’ll rip yer vocals right out of yer throat if ya even dare to come closer ‘con.” Inferno growled, stepping back and turning to block Starscream’s view of Red Alert.

“What makes you think you can take me on Autobot.” Starscream mocked.

“Believe me, I could hold ya off long enough for my buddies ta get here. If ya really have a death wish, then just try and take me on.”

“Inferno…”

Inferno looked down as Red Alert pressed himself against his chest, shuddering.

“Please…please don’t leave me Inferno…I need you…”

The red mech tightened his grip around the mech gently, his gaze softening.

“I won’t Red…I’m here for ya.” He turned back to the Decepticon, who looked ready to explode at any moment. He held his weapon up as the seeker took a step forward, only to stop and glare. 'If looks could kill' was the perfect saying for the glare Starscream gave Inferno.

Starscream glowered before he aimed, “You’re dead Autoscum.”

Inferno tensed before quickly stepping back , pulling Red Alert with him as Starscream began firing. The fire truck fell back behind a boulder, carefully setting Red Alert down as he pulled out his other weapon. The touch on his arm made him look to see the white mech shivering and Inferno gave him a confident nod.

“Red, I won’t leave you. Stay right here, I’ll protect you.”

He leapt out from the cover, firing repeatedly at the seeker. Starscream leapt straight up into the air, before coming down and landing right in front of Inferno, lashing out with an angry kick. Inferno cried out, stumbling back as his chest sparked. Starscream blasted at Inferno with his null ray, laughing as the Autobot ducked to avoid being hit.

“Pathetic!” Starscream cackled, but his laugh was cutoff abruptly as Inferno gave a roar and came charging right at him, lowering his head and crashing into the thinner seeker. Starscream went tumbling back, hitting the rock wall hard and giving an involuntary shout of pain while Inferno kept coming. He grabbed Starscream by the neck and slammed him into the wall again before bringing the seeker close. His optics tinged red as growled,

“You fragger’…”

Starscream sneered, “The feeling is mutual!” he snapped before activating the thrusters in his heels and double kicking Inferno. The red mech fell back and Starscream stood quickly before glancing over at where Red Alert was standing.

“I’ll see you again Red Alert.” He promised angrily before he transformed and blasted up into the air, the sheer force of the take off almost knocking Red Alert over. Inferno turned as he stood, glaring at the retreating seeker before he heard Red Alert whimper. The white mech fell to his knees, his shoulders shaking and Inferno limped over to the security officer. He quickly knelt down, cradling the Lamborghini as close as possible against his chest.

“Red, shhh…it’s alright, I’m here…he won’t touch ya again, not while I’m around.” Inferno said, trying to comfort the distressed mech. Red only responded by nodding against Inferno’s chest, calming down enough to relax in the powerful arms.

They sat like that for a while, the only sound being the occasional whimper from the younger mech and the ever howling wind. Inferno’s legs began to ache from the awkward kneeling position, but he didn’t dare budge in case he the movement would disturb Red Alert.

“Inferno…”

“Red, why did ya come out here all by yerself? That was dangerous!” he paused, leaning his head down against the white shoulder,

“I…I’m sorry I didn’t get here sooner…Prowl said ya went to check the cameras and I got worried, so I came to make sure ya got back safe and sound…”

“Thank you.”

Inferno stopped speaking at those two words, looking up to lock optics with Red Alert. He smiled softly,

“Let’s get ya back to base Red.”

He stood, the gears in his legs groaning as they finally moved. He shifted Red Alert in his arms as the mech splayed a hand across his windshield, powering down his optics and resting his head against Inferno’s chest. Without warning he tensed, optics flaring back on.

“W-wait! Inferno, the camera!”

Inferno halted, blinking before looking around to see the mentioned object. He sighed, chuckling slightly.

“Right Red…I’ll grab the camera.” He said softly, sheltering the smaller mech from the wind as he started walking.
...*stares for a moment before sighing*

I've been wanting to do a RedxInferno fic for a while now and when an idea popped up in my head, I wrote this. Not to sure if I like it...but I was kind of tired of reading all of the fanfics where Starscream has his way with poor Red Alert.

:heart:RedAlertxInferno:heart:

If you find anything grammar or spelling errors, please tell me.

Yes, I am working on requests and one will probably be uploaded later at the rate I'm working. :work:

Protectin' Red - I can't believe it, someone did fanart for this fic! ( [link] ) Totally check out that pic, it's awesome. :D
