In the Depths

This is Yane - he's an off species of leech in Meddus, a world ~peanutchan created ages ago.

By off species I mean most leeches in Meddus are the black with yellow pattern, though the chemicals and glowing crystals in the caves Yane was born and raised in have altered them slightly. Glowing helps them blend in at times. Not all of them are the same blue and some even retain the more yellow shades, though the glow does not aid or put them at a disadvantage really when it comes to avoiding glowworms.

Yane is extremely friendly and unlike his wary family, he will pop up at the edge of the water to talk to travelers coming through the caves. He loves fruit - peaches in particular - since he can't really access them from the caves. He is also an excellent fisher, though he prefers fish over the 'other' meat that becomes available occasionally.

The water shading didn't really work with me and I'm a bit emotional distraught from the Walking Dead episode tonight, so sorry if this is a bit messy. I try not to draw this late for a reason, lol...but my muse refused to let me rest until I drew Yane.
